Camagüey, June 11th.- The University of Camagüey Ignacio Agramonte (CU) will host delegates from 20 Cuban higher education centers, who will show the results of their research from tomorrow until next Friday, at the XXIV National Forum of University Students of Technical Sciences.

An artistic gala at the Avellaneda theater, set for 9:00 pm tonight, for welcoming the participants.

Young people will defend more than 90 papers in 11 commissions, related to topics such as Biotechnology and food, Energy efficiency and renewable sources, Information technology based on development, Communications and electronics, Housing and construction materials, Environment and heritage conservation, Development of the Cuban industry and Recovery of natural resources.

"In this contest the students will compete in 15 skills contests on mathematical logical reasoning, spreadsheets, photography, spelling, graphic design, reading, welding and Chemical Engineering", explained Jonny Ubeda Medina, one of the main organizers of the forum.

The program includes visits to important companies and institutions of the territory, such as the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, the Tínima brewery and centers belonging to the Office of the Historian of the City of Camagüey, in which many students of the first University founded after 1959 in Cuba, have played a prominent role with their projects.

Artistic and sports proposals, an expo-science and an electro-fair, as well as the tour of areas of the house of high school studies.
