Camagüey, June 18th. - The qualifying stage of the 39th Baseball Sugar League Provincial Championship will begin on July 12th, with the participation of eight teams.
The teams from the sugar factories Carlos Manuel de Céspedes, of the municipality of the same name, and Brazil, of Esmeralda, appear in zone number one, while in the number two were located the teams from Agramonte and Argentina, both of Florida.
According to the Carlos Guerra Castañeda´s report, the Cándido González teams, in Santa Cruz del Sur; and Siboney, from Sibanicú, will compete in the qualifying group number three, and in the fourth will compete the representatives of Panama and Batalla de las Guásimas, from the municipality of Vertientes.
The qualifying stage of this competition will be played from Friday to Sunday, with play off of five games to win three, and the winners will advance to the semifinal stage.
