Camagüey, Oct. 11.- Deputy Isabel González Cárdenas, president of the Provincial Assembly of Popular Power, reaffirmed via telephone to the radio station of this city, support by the Camagüey people to the newly elected Cuban Government.
After a historic day in the process of institutionalization of the country, González Cárdenas highlighted the importance of this October 10th, when the leadership of the Cuban Parliament, the members of the State Council and the President and Vice President of the Republic were elected.
González Cárdenas highlighted the continuity of the revolutionary process, proved by the diversity existing in the National Assembly and the state leadership structures.
On the other hand, Anielka Fernández del Monte, member of the National Secretariat of the Federation of Cuban Women, commented that 47% of the members of State Council are women.
The deputy for the municipality of Florida also integrated Parliament ina day of unity, firmness, commitment and continuity of the historical work of the Revolution.
“We gave a demonstration of unity, a clear message for those who plan to break us with economic blockade and media warfare; the deputies represent the people and on their behalf we choose those who have the best conditions to assume these important positions, ”she said.
