Camagüey, Oct. 15.- Local grandmaster Carlos Daniel Albornoz will compete in the World Youth Chess Championship starting today, which is based in New Delhi, capital of India.
Current national champion, Albornoz has a coefficient of 2,581 points and appears among the 94 players who will compete by the Swiss system with 11 rounds.
Cuba will also be represented by Roxangel Obregón, from Villa Clara, who is ranked 22nd, with 267 Elo points.
There will be 95 female contestants, playing by the Swiss system to 11 rounds until October 25th.
