At the event, the AHS Honorary Member Distinction was given to seven artists who presided over the organization at different times in its history.
A group of virtuous defenders of Cuban Culture, who have backed committed and revolutionary art through their works, received the Prize. They are:
-Eslinda Núñez Pérez, National Film Award
-Francisco (Pancho) García Castellanos, National Theater Award
-Manuel Pérez Paredes, National Film Award

Before the awards ceremony, the Cuban President held a pleasant and frank meeting with the members of the National Council of the AHS and some outstanding artists.
The young artists talked with Díaz-Canel and the space became an honest and contributing dialogue, in which they agreed on the need for art to become the transforming antidote of society.
The Head of State was grateful for the opportunity to exchange ideas and criteria with young people, which always "allows us to nurture their experiences" and find better solutions to problems. (ACN / Presdiencia de Cuba) (Photos: Revolution Studios)
