Camagüey, Oct. 30.- In order to improve economy, professionals and technicians training in different spheres is essential, which is guaranteed in Camagüey, for example, in the Polytechnic Institute (IPE) Cándido González Morales, with an enrollment of 801 students in five specialties.
In response to the needs of the province, the branches of Commerce, Accounting, Human Capital and microcomputer operator secretary, from this school year, the mid-level technician in Warehouse Logistics was added.
On the profile of the graduate, Yaneixis Montes de Oca Navarro, head of the Statistics Department of that educational institution, explained that in accordance with career regulations, after four years, the students will be able to perform the storage of products with mastery of the established techniques and standards, and plan flow systems of materials and services from the supplier to the customer.
The Warehouse Logistics group has 29 students from the municipality of Camagüey, including Beatriz González and Brayan Guillermo Olivé Vázquez, who express satisfaction with their choice, and consider their function to be vital in any workplace.
Regarding the subjects taught, Yaneixis Montes de Oca Navarro mentioned Logistics Technology, Work Organization, Accounting and Statistics; while those of general formation are, among others, Spanish, Maths, History and English.
From freshman year, the students of Warehouse Logistics, like those in other specialties, are linked to pre-professional practices, thanks to agreements between the IPE Cándido González Morales and several entities, such as the Wholesale Food Products Company and the Group Internal Commerce Business.
Among the main tasks that graduates will perform are the selection and categorization of suppliers, inventory management and the application of procedures and documentation related to national and international trade.
