Camaguey, Nov. 6 - Dialogue about poetry with the new generations is one of the purposes of the XV edition of the Emilio Ballagas Event, which continues today in this city, which aspires to be recognized as the Cradle of Cuban Literature.
On Thursday morning, the exchange between students and teachers of the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Camagüey Ignacio Agramonte and the writers María Liliana Celorrio, Yunexis Nobalbo and Diusmel Machado will take place, who will also share the presentation of texts related to the poet that gives name to the contest.
An afternoon workshop at the Vicentina de la Torre Academy of Arts, in which the poet and essayist Virgilio López Lemus will participate; and the Dulce Hogar children's club, with the writer Tatiana Morales and the project Golpe a golpe at José Luis Tasende Elementary School, will enrich the learning day.
The Peasant Terrace, a recently opened space with the participation of the sudden Héctor Peláez and Nelson Lima, who has gained followers in the provincial headquarters of the Hermanos Saíz Association, will be the culmination of the penultimate day of the "Ballagas", now in the company of the poet Luis Paz (Papillo), the inclusion of children's talent and the verses of the Cucalambén National Prizes, Odalys Leyva, Diusmel and Randoll Machado.
Shared and increased experiences will come together at the end of this appointment, which on the 111th anniversary of his birth pays tribute to Emilio Ballagas, a poet who went ahead of his time, like the greats, and who made his stanzas a panic to literature of his time and an advance of the verses that we admire today.
