Atlanta, Dec. 9- The 26-year-old South African Zozibini Tunzi won the crown of Miss Universe 2019, a contest that was held this Sunday at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta (Georgia, USA).
Puerto Rican Madison Anderson, 24 years old, and Mexican Sofía Aragón, 25 yeras old, were elected first and second finalists, respectively.
According to the official Miss Universe website, Zozibini is a "passionate activist" who is "engaged in the fight against gender-based violence", as well as being a "proud advocate of natural beauty.
"During the contest, Zozibini shared that the most important thing to teach girls today is "leadership", since "it is something that girls and women have lacked for a long time."
"I think we are the most powerful beings in the world and that we should have all the opportunities," she said. (RHC) (Source / RT)
