Camagüey, Dec. 10 - The sugar mill Batalla de las Guásimas , in the municipality of Vertientes, joined the current sugar harvest this Monday, to complete the payroll of four Camaguey´s sugar mills committed to this campaign.
The aforementioned industry must deliver in 118 days of grinding more than 51,600 metric tons of crude oil, the largest planned volume among those involved in the harvest, and assumes 52% of the provincial program alongside the sugar mill Panama.
The start of milling with a week of delay compared to the date set requiresthe Batallade las Guásimas to a full part in the efforts to achieve the 10 thousand 455 metric tons of crude agreed in " the small harvest" which closes on December 31.
The harvest strategy at the Batalla de las Guásimas sugar mill must take into account, from now on, to prevent the rains, unpredictable in that part of the south territory, in order to reduce the fluency due to the poor state of the roads, the breakage of the media of cut and transportation, and the remoteness of the cane areas.
The present sugar campaign in the first sugar mill built in Camagüey after 1959, is an honor commitment of its workers, who will dedicate compliance to Commander in Chief Fidel Castro, on the 40th anniversary of his visits to that industry in 1980.
