Camagüey, Jan. 11.- Deputy Prime Minister Ramiro Valdés Menéndez evaluated in this city the housing program and energy infrastructure, both of great social and economic impact in the province.
He learned that the local production of construction materials is gradually recovering, mainly due to lack of aggregates, and difficulties in the transportation of raw materials and some assurances.
In the event it was revealed that in the current year, 780 homes are on the building schedule, 927 with owners ‘financing and 1,098 low-income families will benefit from the allocation of subsidies, as part of the Cuban State's policy to Take care of those people.
The province has potential to produce resources as necessary as bricks, floor elements and concrete carpentry, to mitigate the limitations facing the country in a program as sensitive as that of housing.
