Havana, Jan. 16 - Cuban Arlenis Sierra intervenes until January 19 in the strong Santos Women's Tour Down Under race in Adelaide, Australia, where she will continue her commitments of the 2019-2020 season of the International Road Cycling with three other competitions on that island-continent.
Arlenis, captain of the Kazakh team Astana Women´s, and her companions, the Mexican Yareli Salazar, the Ukrainian Marina Ivanyuk and the Italian Francesca Pattaro and Katia Ragusa, will integrate the massive squad of a turn in which the Antillean won the third stage last year.
The first - like the following two - starts at 10 am this Thursday for a 116.3 km journey from Hahndorf to a circuit that ends at Macclesfield.
In this event, according to the official website of the International Cycling Union, the two decisive days are those of Friday and Saturday for the amount of climbs that the riders will find on the track, among which they are classified for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, like Arlenis herself.(Jit) (Photo: Archive)
