Havana, January 21 - A Cuban delegation, led by Tourism Minister Juan Carlos García Granda, will represent the country at the XL International Tourism Fair FITUR 2020, set for January 22nd through the 26th in Madrid, Spain.

The website of the Cuban Tourism Ministry reports that on the eve of the fair, Minister García Granda will participate in the XXII conference of tourism ministers of Ibero-America and Spanish entrepreneurs.

Participants in the international tourism fair in the Spanish capital will include executives and professionals with the main hotel chains and travel agencies specializing in the Cuban destination.

Meanwhile, Cuba’s Caracol stores network will be represented by cigar roller José Castelar Cairo (Cueto) --a Guinness Record holder for making the world’s longest cigar.

Spain is a main market of tourists to Cuba. In 2019, 146 339 Spanish tourists visited the Caribbean state, attracted mainly to the country’s heritage cities, sun and sand, nature, nautical and events tourism.
