Camagüey Expo will promote local exportable items

Camagüey, Feb. 5 - The business sector and non-state workers are getting ready to participate in the next edition of the Camagüey 2020 Expo (ExpoCam), whose main focus will be the promotion of the exportable products of the province and the promotion of new items.

This time the business meeting will be held outside of the Culture Week, as a higher level of convocation and participation is intended for what represents the main commercial exchange of the region for economic development.

Tania Rodríguez Mexidor, delegate of the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba in the Camagüey-Ciego de Ávila territory, confirmed the realization of the event from March 9 to 13, which will be an ideal place to look for alternatives in order to increase the lines destined for sale abroad as an important source of foreign exchange income to the country.

So far, several entities, such as the Tínima brewery, the Ignacio Agramonte industrial military company, - known as a Mechanical Plant - and some of the Ministry of Agriculture system have assured their presence at the event.

In addition, the presence of representatives from other provinces is expected.

The ExpCam Fair will seek to increase the exportable funds of Camagüey, which has among its main potential the overseas trade of products such as charcoal, honey, frozen lobster, sea cucumber and the GAVAC vaccine against ticks in cattle.
