Camagüey, 6 Mar.- The Camagüey Folk Ballet (BFC) will rerun the newly released show San la Muerte y los muertos, which can be seen at the Teatro Principal on Saturday, at 8:30 p.m., and Sunday at 10:00 in the morning.
With an extensive production, this work will be presented soon at the critics event. Its central theme revolves around death in all the projections of Cuban Culture, and encourages an approach to History and the population representations that came from Africa to Cuba with all its rites and ceremonies.
Reinaldo Echemendía, director of the music-dance company, explained that “this is an integral work, ranging from the Catholic concept of death to the expressions of African Culture. It is an eminently theatrical show with a coherent discourse and framed within the demands of dance in contemporary world”.
Dedicated to the Book Fair in Camaguey and to International Women's Day, the presentation of the BFC is one of the best options for this weekend in the city. (Claudia Artiles Díaz / Radio Camagüey) (Image: Internet)
