Moscow, Apr 6 - Russia announced the beginning of tests carried out by the Vektor State Scientific Center, to determine the antibodies capable of forming immunity to the SARS CoV-2 coronavirus, causing the Covid-19 pandemic.
We have an immuno- fermentation analysis test system that should be registered next week. This intelligent system determines antibodies, said Anna Popova, head of the Federal Service for the Control of Consumption and Population Welfare ( Rospatrebnadzor ), on Sunday .
We must know what happens to the population in those places where there is a large concentration of Covid-19 cases, as in the case of this capital and the province of Moscow, said the head of Rospatrebnadzor, the entity in charge of epidemiological surveillance in this country.
On the other hand, we must analyze the places where SARS CoV-2 does not spread in any way, to know if the population is protected or not, said the specialist.
We must seek the immunity of doctors to leave them out of the risk group, said Popova, who estimated that a success in that case would be a great achievement, which could occur in about ten days, he explained.
Russia plans to start next May pre-clinical SARS coronavirus CoV against-2 tests reported yesterday the CEO of Vektor, Rinat Maksiutov .
The tests now carried out on animals will conclude at the end of April, when the selection of the appropriate technology will be made for pre-clinical and clinical tests, Maksiutov told television in the capital.
