Caracas, Jul 11.- President Nicolás Maduro assured that the United States continues its attempts to attack Venezuela and make it the subject of campaign acts.
During the transmission of command from the commanders of the Bolivarian Army, Navy and Aviation, the president authorized the ministers of Defense and Interior Relations, Vladimir Padrino and Néstor Reverol, respectively, to answer the false accusations of the United States government against this South American nation.
He warned that these signs are part of a script that they handle, just as they did against Vietnam, in Iraq and other nations, as part of a farce that they now repeat because they are desperate for the votes.
The declarations of the head of state come after this Friday in a campaign act from the Southern Command, the North American Secretary of Defense, Robert O'Brien, declared that Venezuela "is a narco-state led by a corrupt and illegitimate regime."
Maduro stressed that the country is alert to every plan and every imperial threat, and assured that the nation continues to stand firm and with high morale in the face of new defamation. (Text and photo: PL)
