Defense Council analyzes sanitary measures for new recovery phase in Camagüey

Camagüey, Jul 18.- The Provincial Defense Council in Camagüey analyzed the changes in sanitary measures for the third phase of post- Covid-19recovery, to begin next Monday.

Ariel Santana Santiesteban and Yoseilis Góngora López, president and vice president, insisted on the integration of the community and health care for effective epidemiological surveillance, particularly for travelers residing in Cuba who enter the country.

Dr. Carlos Morán, deputy director of Health in the province, clarified that the use of the mask will continue to be mandatory for workers and patients, in all of its facilities.

Stomatological services are fully restored and under the necessary norms, visits to social institutions such as nursing homes return, the process of reopening care in all hospitals is completed, and the attention of the primary health system is fully operational.

Likewise, Morán referred to the importance of care in the management of biological waste and the disinfection processes established for all the material that is used.

It was also said that the Military Hospital is intended for the care of foreign patients, while for nationals a room in the Amalia Simoni hospital will be designated from Monday, and later a specialized room in the pediatric hospital Eduardo Agramonte Piña.
