Havana, Aug 12.- The president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, today expressed his pride in living times of Revolution with the leader Fidel Castro (1926-2016).

"Cuban pride for many reasons, for living times of Revolution with Fidel, for learning from his example, for following and continuing his ideas and work," argued the head of state on his Twitter account on the eve of the 94th anniversary of the leader of the Cuban Revolution.

In another tweet, the president recalled a phrase written by the leader in a reflection on August 12, 2010:

“I have not changed. I will be faithful to the principles and ethics that I have practiced since I became a Revolutionary man”.

Fidel Castro was born on August 13, 1926 in the town of Birán, in the former province of Oriente (now Holguín, in the eastern part of the country). (Text and photo: PL)
