Camaguey, Sep 12. - "See you in 2021 because we are going to continue doing Olorum, " said Reinaldo Echemendía Estrada, director of the Camagüey Folkloric Ballet at the closing of that homonymous festival in 2019, which every two years fills this city with life.
And yes, the Olorum is back , scheduled for September 8 to 12 next year, but inserted this time as part of the program of activities organized by the company to celebrate 30 years of art .
The celebration begins with the presentation of the show “ Ochosi Oddé ”, on the occasion of this September 12th the 29th birthday of the dance music group .
A day of celebrations begins in anticipation of the thirtieth anniversary of the company, which recognizes the work of the first dancers Elsa María Avilés Carmenate and Janixe del Rosario Jiménez Sánchez.
Echemendía Estrada also announced the revival of the work "María Antonia", the premiere of "Life gives you surprises" and joint actions with other groups, cultural institutions and artistic teaching centers in the territory.
