Camagüey, Oct 8.- The Camagüey team scored five in the ninth chapter to win an important victory of nine races by six on the eve of Las Tunas at the Julio Antonio Mella stadium, in the capital of Tunisia, and consolidate at the top of the 60 National Baseball Series.
The Bulls came in losing six scores to four in the last inning, when they took advantage of the Lumberjacks' defense failures to build the runs that ultimately allowed them to win.
The success in particular was for reliever Juan Ramón Olivera, with the defeat Yosbel Alarcón charged, in a clash where Leonel Moa took the ball from the park for Camagüey and Yosvani Alarcón for the pipes.
In other results this Wednesday, Industriales beat Isla de la Juventud 7-2 and 5-4; Pinar del Río defeated Artemisa 16-3 and 7-6; Cienfuegos knocked out Villa Clara 11-1; Granma shut out Holguín 4-0, Santiago de Cuba beat Guantánamo 10-2, and Matanzas led Mayabeque 6-5.
Camagüey, with 13 wins and 5 losses, leads the Series standings, followed by Matanzas, Industriales and Santiago de Cuba with 13 and 6; and Granma with 12 and 7; Cienfuegos with 11 and 7; Pinar del Río with 11 and 8; and Sancti Spíritus closing the classification zone with 9 and 7.
Then Villa Clara is located with 9 and 8; Holguín with 10 and 9; Las Tunas with 8 and 11; Ciego de Ávila with 7 and 11; Mayabeque 6 and 13; Guantanamo 5 and 14; Artemis 4 and 15; and the Isle of Youth in last place with 2 and 13.
