Camagüey, Oct 16.- Considered today among the best in the world in Greek wrestling, the Olympic champion in Rio de Janeiro, Ismael Borrero, performs his training in this city to achieve better sporting form with a view to the appointment in Tokyo.
The city has welcomed for several weeks in its gyms and training arenas the Cuban representatives of this athletic modality such as Borrero and the three-time Olympic champion in the super heavyweight division, Mijaín López.
In statements to Prensa Latina, Borrego assures that there are no easy rivals, and that your level depends on you, although after the confinement by Covid-19 it is a bit complicated, but we always kept working.
Under the orders of the coach Raúl Trujillo, the athletes of the Greco-Roman wrestling of Cuba will go to the Japan tournament next year with the full roster after achieving the classification in the pre-Olympic event in Ottawa, Canada in March. (Text and photo: PL)
