Berlin, Oct 20.- The Network of Solidarity with Cuba in Germany reiterated its support for the Caribbean nation and demanded the end of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States for almost six decades, diplomatic sources reported.
During an event in this capital, broadcast through digital platforms, the movement launched the UnBlockCuba campaign, which is supported by more than 70 organizations from 20 European countries.
The purpose of this initiative is to combat the disinformation campaign promoted by Washington against the Greater Antilles and to denounce the multiple American aggressions against the people of that nation.
Among the participants in the event are the director and producer Hans-Peter Weymar, members of solidarity groups with Cuba and the ambassador of that country in Germany, Ramón Ignacio Ripoll.
Ripoll thanked the German and European organizations for showing their support and reiterated Cuba's will to continue fighting against the blockade and for the defense of its sovereignty. (Text and photo: PL)
