Cuba will promote exportable items and services among Caribbean nations

Havana, Oct 24.- Cuba will promote its products and services for export to representatives of Caribbean nations, reported the Chamber of Commerce of the Greater Antilles.

On October 27 there will be a conference where companies from various sectors such as construction, industry, mining, biotechnology, among others, will present business opportunities to Caribbean ambassadors.

The objective is to promote exports as one of the pillars of Cuba's new socioeconomic strategy, approved to face the crisis derived from Covid-19, and exacerbated here by the United States blockade, according to the institutional Twitter account of the Chamber of Commerce.

Since last August, new legal regulations came into force on the island that support exports by all actors in the economy, including those in the private sector.

To date, non-state management forms have sold products such as charcoal, fruits, fresh and canned vegetables, natural chemicals, and ecological wood to other countries, as well as services, such as engineering services that the La Concordia cooperative offered to a company.
