Camagüey, Oct 27.- The Camagüey and Industriales teams will star as of today at the Latinoamericano Stadium, in the Cuban capital, one of the most attractive mid-week duels of the qualifying stage of the 60th National Baseball Series.
Last season the Lions led the Bulls in the regular phase nine wins by three, but in the semifinals the Agramontinos swept the Blues in just three challenges.
During Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, Pinar del Río-Ciego de Ávila will also compete in the Cándido González; Artemisa-Sancti Spíritus, on July 26; Isla de la Juventud-Las Tunas, in Cristóbal Labra; Mayabeque-Guantánamo, at the Nelson Fernández; Matanzas-Santiago de Cuba, in the Victoria de Girón; Cienfuegos-Granma, on September 5; and Villa Clara in front of Holguín, in the Sandino.
The table of positions of the 60th National Baseball Series has Camagüey in first place with 20 wins and 10 losses, and a better average than Matanzas and Santiago de Cuba that accumulate 21 wins and 11 losses.
Then Cienfuegos is located with 20 and 11; Granma with 19 and 12; Sancti Spíritus with 18 and 12: Industriales with 19 and 13, and Pinar del Río, which with 17 wins and 14 losses closes the qualifying zone.
Then Villa Clara appears with 14 and 15; Holguín with 15 and 17; Mayabeque with 14 and 18; Las Tunas with 13 and 19; Ciego de Ávila with 11 and 20; Guantanamo with 10 and 22; Isla de la Juventud with seven and 19; and Artemisa, who is last, with eight wins and 23 losses.
