Cuba needs currency order, confirms Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla

Havana, Nov. 19.- Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, assured today on Twitter that the monetary ordering process will contribute to the advancement of the update of the country's economic and social development.

According to the Cuban Foreign Minister, its implementation in the social sphere will allow for the elimination of free services, in addition, it will favor the development of labor productivity, as well as greater efficiency of the productive forces.

He also stressed that currency unification will facilitate the process of analysis and allocation of subsidies to needy people.

Through a message posted on his Twitter account, Rodríguez Parrilla explained that in order to advance in other economic transformations in the country, an order must first be carried out that will resolve the currency and exchange duality, and eliminate undue subsidies.

It will also imply a transformation of the income of the population, by carrying out a salary, pension and price reform.

Cuba has already announced a process of monetary and exchange regulation that, according to Miguel Díaz- Canel , President of the Republic, will allow unlocking many of the issues that today do not allow the advance of other measures to update the Cuban economic and social model.

In this regard, Rodríguez Parrilla pointed out that no one will be left helpless, since it complies with the principle of preserving the conquests of the Revolution, written down in the Constitution. (ACN) (Photo: File)
