Camagüey, Nov. 20.- The payment to the 117 thousand 974 pensioners in the province of Camagüey, through various electronic platforms, favors this provision and promotes a greater culture in the use of these virtual spaces as part of the computerization of society.
Of that total, until the end of October, 58,956 retirees collected their money through magnetic cards and another 59,018 did so through electronic payroll, this last modality active since August 20.
Hortensia Montenegro Capote, director of the provincial branch of the National Institute of Assistance and Social Security (INASS) in the territory, commented to the Cuban News Agency that previously what was offered as a means of payment to pensioners were the checkbook, which became obsolete.
With the electronic payroll, he said, the retiree only has to present his identity card at the payment center where he is going to collect and, in case of not being able to attend, he can be represented by another person, be it family, neighbor or a friend
Those who, due to the current epidemiological situation, with Covid-19, are outside their municipality of residence, do not lose the right to collect their monthly payments through the INASS municipal subsidiary, since a provisional payment is made so that they can charge, assured the directive.
Currently, those who are incorporated as new registrations for the payment of pensions continue to be given magnetic cards so that they can make their payment, since what is desired is that in the future all retirees receive this way, due to the benefits that offers.
Montenegro Capote acknowledged that although not all municipalities in the province have ATMs, in those places you can charge for reservation of balance through the post, or make use of other services that can be accessed such as payment of electricity or the telephone rate. (ACN) (Photo: File)
