​​​​​​​Cuba confirms 38 new Covid-19 cases



Havana, Nov. 20.- At the close of this Thursday, November 19, 2,582 patients were admitted for clinical epidemiological surveillance, 555 suspects, 1,664 and 363 confirmed under surveillance.

For Covid-19, 10,416 samples were studied, resulting in 38 positive samples. The country accumulates one million 012 thousand 786 samples carried out and seven thousand 763 positive (0.77%).

Of the total number of cases (38): 18 were contacts of confirmed cases and 20 with a source of infection abroad.

Of the 38 cases diagnosed, 32 are Cubans and six are foreigners. 52.6% (20) of the 38 positive cases were asymptomatic.

Of the 7,763 patients diagnosed with the disease, 363 (4.6%) remain confirmed, all (100%) with stable clinical evolution. 131 deaths are reported (none in the day), two evacuated, 66 discharges of the day, 7,267 recovered patients accumulate (93.6%). No patient is found in serious or critical condition.

Until November 19, 186 countries with Covid-19 cases are reported, the confirmed cases amount to 56 million 368 thousand 607 (+ 624 thousand 619) and 1 million 350 thousand 713 deaths (+ 11 thousand 277) for a lethality of 2,39 (-0.01).

In the Americas region, 24 million 158 thousand 910 confirmed cases (+ 240 thousand 109) are reported, 42.85% of the total cases reported in the world, with 691 thousand 579 deaths (+ 3 thousand 901) for a fatality of 2.86% (-0.02).
