University of Camagüey will start 2021 school year remotely

Camagüey, Jan 20.- The University of Camagüey Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz reported through its social networks that the 2021 school calendar will start on February 1 as planned, but in a  remote modality for all types of undergraduate and graduate courses.

These characteristics also include students who begin the first year, and their presence will begin on the date that is duly reported, in accordance with the behavior of the epidemiological situation in the municipality of Camagüey, today in the autochthonous transmission phase of Covid -19.

On the part of the Career Collectives, an intense activity of methodological preparation will be developed, which will allow teachers to be in the best possible conditions to assume distance education.

Similarly, teleworking will be promoted for all teaching and service personnel, both at the headquarters and at the Municipal University Centers, to guarantee the permanence of only essential workers in the institution.

The registration process schedule was transformed for all modalities, and will take place in the first week after the resumption of face-to-face activities.

Likewise, planned science and innovation activity will be maintained, with emphasis on those associated with strategic sectors, as well as defenses for planned masters and doctorates.

In coordination with the Provincial Defense Council, the University Student Federation will promote the performance of impact tasks and the protection system for the house of higher studies will be reorganized, in response to the new conditions, with the presence of the Senior Guard Officer and his assistants.
