Camagüey, Mar 10.- Members of Ignacio Agramonte Ecology Brigade from Italy took their leave of Camagüey having a favourable opinion of Cuba’s educational and public health services.Leda Roveri, who is member of the group, mentioned that after having visited several sites, she considers that projects only comparable with those of developed countries and superior to others in Latin America are on their way in Cuba.
For her part, Valeria Lenri highlighted that the mass media in Italy reflects little about Cuba and its reality and focus their attention on countries they keep very close trade exchange.
The Italian ecologists also showed their interest in the impact caused by the hurricanes that recently hit the island, on the local wildlife and urged the people of Camagüey to protect the environment even more.
Ignacio Agramonte Ecology Brigade, from Italy had arrived here on February 19 and during its stay visited natural reservations in the municipality of Esmeralda, it went to schools, elderly people homes and the Natal House of El Mayor.
