Cuba Declares Official Mourning for Kim Jong-il
Havana, Cuba, Dec 20.- Cuba declared three days of mourning after the death of North Korean leader Kim Jong-il, who passed away last weekend.
“Cuba’s Council of State has declared Official Mourning due to the passing of comrade Kim Jong-il, President of the National Defense Committee and General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of the People’s Democratic Republic of Korea,” reads an official statement published on Tuesday.
The text points out that the Cuban national flag would be flown at half-mast on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. (acn).
