Athens, Oct 29.- Greek authorities and Latin American diplomats paid tribute to Argentinian-Cuban guerrilla fighter Ernesto Che Guevara as a source of inspiration to millions of people worldwide in the 44th anniversary this month of his assassination in Bolivia.

Evoking the past always entails some reticence, especially if our memories bring to present the pages of a history that should have never been written. That's why, when on each October 28th the loss of Camilo Cienfuegos comes to mind, we feel the odd sensation of wanting to remember what we would wish wasn’t true, even when El Señor de la Vanguardia, as Che called him, is an immortal man by nature.
