“Among the 8 topics most covered in the speeches of the high-level debate of # UNGA76 was the call to lift the inhuman US blockade against #Cuba, deliberately intensified in the midst of the pandemic. Continuous international claim of #EliminaElBloqueo is reaffirmed”, wrote Rodríguez Parrilla on the social network Twitter.

During the UNGA 76, several nations drew attention to the tightening of the blockade against Cuba, which has lasted for more than six decades; furthermore, they urged Washington to end this policy which they described as a relic of history.

Recently, the Cuban Foreign Ministry highlighted that numerous dignitaries and heads of state affirmed in UNGA 76 that the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States against Cuba is a flagrant violation of the principle of the Charter of non-interference in the internal affairs of sovereign States.
