La Cruz, a four-time universal monarch and two-time Olympic champion, will fight against the Uzbek Madiyar Saydrakhimov at 92 kilograms and Cruz against the Thai Somchay Wongsuwan at 63.5 kilograms.

Cuba is part of the triad of countries that will depend today on five exponents in the semifinal, the others are Kazakhstan and Russia. For their part, the United States and Thailand will have four fighters, and Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and France will have three. (PL)
