Díaz-Canel calls for responsible work to overcome current national challenges

Havana, Feb 26.- The President of Cuba, Miguel Díaz- Canel, today called on the Cuban people to work to move forward and overcome the current challenges in the nation, marked by the Covid-19 pandemic.

In his official Twitter account, the president wrote: There is no room for fatigue or settlement here, you have to keep working. In addition, he assured that together we will overcome all the complex problems that mark the current scenario of the country.

According to island authorities, the present context is conditioned by Covid-19 and its multiple impacts, in particular the global economic crisis, as well as by the intensification of the blockade imposed by the United States.

In addition, since January 1st, Cuba has been promoting the so-called Order Task, which includes monetary and exchange unification, wage and price reform, and the elimination of undued subsidies.

In the opinion of experts, it is one of the largest economic processes in the history of the country, as it cuts across all sectors and has a high impact on the population. (PL) (Photo: File)
