Camagüey achieves a tendency to decrease COVID-19 cases

Camagüey, Apr 10.- This province maintains the trend of decreasing COVID-19 cases by presenting a favorable situation in nine of the 13 municipalities of the territory, as reported in the usual meeting of the Provincial Defense Council.

From January to date, more than 2,600 positive for SARS-CoV-2 have been diagnosed, including the 15 reported the day before.

Of the total number of admitted patients, one is pregnant and 24 of pediatric age, three of them under one year of age. In addition, a 70-year-old citizen is in serious condition, who remains at the Amalia Simoni Hospital with a favorable evolution.

On the other hand, the Public Health authorities reported the details of the incidence of arboviruses in the territory, where a complex situation began, so more incisive actions were indicated for the prevention of this type of disease.

In another order, the president of the Defense Council in the municipality of Camagüey, Daniel Fuentes Milanés, explained that so far there is a good environment and discipline in the areas that are under the reinforced surveillance protocol, which contributes to the successful application of the hygienic measures oriented.  

Those responsible for each of the defense zones in said demarcation presented the progress of the active investigations, the state of the sources of infection and the attention to vulnerable cases, which are protected by Social Security and community factors. (Text: Elianis Cutiño López / Radio Cadena Agramonte) (Photo: Archive)
