Ciego de Ávila, June 10 - The first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), Miguel Díaz-Canel, visits this province today to review the implementation of the agreements and guidelines of the VIII Congress of the political organization.
In his official Twitter account, the president of the Republic of Cuba also reported that he is traveling to Ciego de Ávila, together with the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the PCC, and then they will continue to Camagüey for a similar meeting.
He stated that they will hold a dialogue with the militancy to evaluate and follow up on the orientations emanating from the party conclave, held last April.
As in previous exchanges held in other Cuban provinces, the meeting will also discuss the application of concepts, ideas and guidelines emanating from the event.
The ideological struggle, the strengthening of the internal life of the PCC, the strategy for the economic development of the country, the need to revitalize the mass organizations and the attention to the base structures of the Union of Young Communists, are some of the topics to debate on.
