Havana, June 10 - Cuban discus throwers Yaimé Pérez and Denia Caballero will compete today in the third stop of the 2021 Wanda Diamond League of athletics, based in Rome, Italy.
In the event known as Golden Gala Pietro Mennea, both exponents of the disc launch will try to continue polishing details with a view to the Tokyo Olympic Games, in addition to taking advantage of the competitive friction against other athletes of good level in that event.

In the case of Pérez, world champion in Doha 2019 and winner of the title in that Dutch competition with a mark of 65.91 meters (m), he will look for his second victory in the diamond competition in the Italian capital.
