The Cuban delegation arrived in Serbia from Bulgaria, where they completed a successful training base to carry out the final phase of preparation for the highest world event.

Both leaders were interested in learning about Cuba's expectations of medals in the Greek wrestling for the great Olympic event, and expressed admiration for the historic sporting results of that country in international competitions.

Likewise, they expressed their interest in collaboration in areas such as water polo and basketball, with a recognized trajectory in the Balkan country, as well as highlighted the figure of tennis player Novak Djokovic, who holds the best planetary qualifications in his specialty.

The head of the Cuban delegation, Raúl Trujillo, expressed his satisfaction with the meeting and favorably appreciated the possibilities for future cooperation, not only in Greek wrestling, but in other sports, given the traditional strength of Serbia in this area.

The group will arrive in Havana in the next few hours and will continue its preparation in isolation conditions, according to the protocols established by the COVID-19 pandemic. (Text and photo: PL)
