Camagüey, Aug 31.- For the second time and on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC), the local branch announces the Rolando Escardó 2021 Creation Scholarship.
The award will admit the presence of writers residing in the national territory, members or not of the UNEAC, with a work in any literary genre, except novels, opting for a scholarship of 3,600 pesos, an accrediting diploma and possible publication by Editorial Ácana.
According to the bases published in the Facebook profile of UNEAC Camagüey, the sample will not include more than 20 pages and less than ten, in letter-space format and a half, Arial 12 font. In addition, each project must be presented with a foundation that will include in three pages: objectives, characteristics, extension and date of completion of the work.
The admission period expires in October 1 and will be competed under the pseudonym technique in digital format. The result will be announced on the 16th of the month in the middle of the activities for the Day of Cuban Culture.
The works will be presented on Cisneros Street No. 159 between Cristo and Rosa la Bayamesa, or through the email address email@example.com with the subject Rolando Escardó Creation Grant and two attached documents identified as: Title of the work_seudonym and Plica_seudónimo, the latter with the author's personal data.
The poet from Holguin Moisés Mayán Fernández, was the winner of the first edition of the Rolando Escardó Creation Scholarship that was held in 2020, where writers from 14 provinces participated, an incentive for the fertile development of Cuban letters.
