Camagüey, Sept. 6.- As of this Wednesday, September 8, the vaccination with Soberana 02 and Soberana Plus will begin in pediatric ages, for the second group of minors, which is expected to exceed 34 thousand children and adolescents, according to the resulting figure when applying the inclusion criteria.
The immunization cycle, which requires 56 days, will last until November 6 and those vaccinated, all over ten years of age, must return to schools on September 8.
For its part, the third group, which includes infants from two to ten years old, will begin to receive the Sovereign 02 vaccine on September 15 and will end on November 13, two days after restarting the current school year.
The vaccinations for both age ranges will be those already existing in the polyclinics and where they are needed more, due to the amount of the universe to be vaccinated and the distance between the areas, others will be opened that will be reported in the corresponding municipalities and health areas.
The application scheme of this vaccine, which duplicates the well-known Abdala cycle with which the adult population of Camagüey is immunized, consists of a first dose on day Zero, the second at 28 days -both with Sovereign 02- and the third with Soberana Plus on matchday 56.
Therefore, around two months after starting each group, students will return to classrooms in a staggered manner to continue their studies, while terminal grade students receive protection with the Abdala vaccine, who will be the first to resume face-to-face classes.
