Camagüey, Sep 4.- Starting next October, the technical revision of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers armed with parts and pieces will begin in Camagüey, as part of the homologation process that is carried out throughout the country.
As reported by Melba Villar Serrano, president of the Homologation Commission, this process will be previously communicated to the owners of the registered vehicles through the telephone numbers and emails provided during registration.
She added that each owner will have only two opportunities to present themselves and in the first phase, motor vehicles with four wheels or more will be inspected, which are required to attend the technical inspection plant, known as somaton. Later, the process will be carried out for the rest.
Villar Serrano also indicated that, in case an error has been made during the registrations, the owners should go to the office of the technical department of the provincial transportation company to make the necessary corrections.
After the registration procedures, which ended on August 22, the province of Camagüey stands out among the three with the highest number of registered vehicles in the country, exceeding 10 thousand, with motorcycles predominating in this figure.
This process, according to Villar Serrano, is the only possible way to legalize vehicles assembled with parts and pieces, which will increase the technical availability of the means and improve reliability in circulation on the roads. (Gleibis Gómez Durvas/Radio Cadena Agramonte) (Photo: File)
