Camagüey: fiscal control actions provided to the local budget

Camagüey, Oct 2. - The comprehensive fiscal control program in progress in the province of Camagüey, led by the Tax Administration Office (ONAT) and other institutions, advocates for discipline in the payment of taxes and recovers significant amounts of money as contributions to municipal budgets.

This work system that will last until the end of the current year covers all economic actors in the territory (state and non-state), and is focused on four interrelated topics, compliance with fiscal control, control exercises, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (Mipymes) importers, and Mipymes with losses.

According to a report on the year, prepared by the Provincial ONAT in Camagüey, to date 474 fiscal control actions have been carried out, with determinations evaluated at 270 million 848 thousand 100 pesos, of which 172 million 856 thousand 100 pesos have been collected.

Likewise, the national exercises carried out from August 28 to 31 contributed to the objectives of the comprehensive program, in which they recorded an amount of 14 million 223 thousand 500 pesos.

In this context, inspectors and auditors detected six taxpayers who were retaining cash without depositing it in the bank, valued at 13 million 350 thousand 100 pesos, which they had to deposit immediately, according to the document provided to the Cuban News Agency.

The multidisciplinary groups are also made up of specialists from the directorates of Labor and Social Security, Finance and Prices, the Banks and the Integral Supervision Directorate, and they check the different issues mentioned in the 13 municipalities of Camagüey.

At the close of September 27, 752 shares were consolidated; of which four correspond to imports from self-employed workers and two from Mipymes.

The determinations total an amount of 115 million 437 thousand 289 pesos, and come from Mipymes, Self-Employed Workers (TCP), a state entity, Local Development Projects (PDL), Agricultural Cooperatives, and others made illegally (73 thousand pesos ).

Regarding tax bank accounts, the report indicates the imposition of 114 fines for non-compliance in opening and operating them, calculated at 570 thousand pesos.

On the other hand, the multidisciplinary groups act with 579 debtors, of which 76 million 503 thousand 495 pesos were collected.

Meanwhile, the control actions against importing Mipymes culminated in five Mipymes and one PDL, and an amount of 108 million 825 thousand 638 pesos, of which they obtained 98.3 percent, states the ONAT text.

Since May of this calendar, the province of Camagüey concluded the control process of 15 Mipymes that present losses, through which it recovered one million 677 thousand 019 pesos.

The integral fiscal control program, led by the ONAT, institutions and organizations in the Camagüey region, seeks to reduce the budget deficit and responds to the implementation of the Government Plan to correct distortions and re-boost the economy in 2024.
