
Havana, May 10. - Dedicated to the presence of women in the filin, is the Bohemia Mía Filin Festival, which will now reach its fourth edition, from June 20 to 22. The festival organizers, chaired by singer and composer Osdalgia Lesmes, propose a contest.
Those over 18 years of age, professionals or amateurs, may participate, with guitar or piano accompaniment, performing a recognized or unpublished Filin song.
They can also participate with an unpublished composition, lyrics written in Word or PDF format, and audio performed by a singer accompanied by guitar or piano.
Contestants may participate in one or more categories simultaneously.
The person must send via WhatsApp +53 52179377 name, surname, category to compete, 40-second video and letters in Word, or PDF.
The deadline is June 14. The jury is composed of multi-instrumentalist, arranger, and record producer Emilio Vega, musicologist Elsida González, guitarist and professor Vidal Tarin, and singer Migdalia Echavarría.
The selected candidates will be announced on June 17 on social media and WhatsApp.
It is an essential requirement to be present in Havana, on June 20, 21 and 22, within the scope of the festival.
Under the motto "El Filin está en ti," the Bohemia Mía Filin Festival is sponsored by Artex Cuba and the Artex Havana Cultural Centers, of the Ministry of Culture.
