Santa Lucía reborn as an international tourist destination

Nuevitas, Sept 13.- For the spa Santa Lucia the next high season of international tourism will represent an opportunity to relaunch itself as a destination of relevance in the country.

The transition from the administration of several hotels to the Canadian Blue Diamond chain and the change of concepts for its marketing marks a promising future for the pole, as reported by Ivonne Montejo Salgado, deputy leader of the Cubanacán group.

As explained by the board, the Gran Club Santa Lucía and Club Amigo Caracol hotels will operate, respectively, under the brand name of Blue Diamond, Resonance and its two concepts: Resonance Musique (dedicated to music, parties and animation) and Resonance Blu (specializing in experiences of relaxation, spiritual well-being and quality of life).

To meet the quality standards in the provision of these services, various works are undertaken such as the reform of three restaurants, the swimming pool and the execution of a sport bar in the first of these facilities, and the renovation of the lobby bar, the creation of a Zen garden and healthy gastronomy spaces in the second.

For its part, the Royal Plant is redefined as Sanctuary Saint Lucia in reference to another of Blue Diamond's brands, for adults looking for unique experiences and tranquility, according to the Canadian company's website.

The fact that the three enclaves admit only to adults means another challenge for Cubanacán that must strengthen the "Brisas" as a tourist product for families.

Montejo Salgado added that other projections for the winter season are the arrival of tourists directly through the Ignacio Agramonte International Airport and the firm intention to resume Canada as the main polo market. (Daicar Saladrigas González/ Adelante Digital) (Photo: Archive)
