Havana, January 6 - Power service was affected yesterday starting at 5:16 a.m. and could not be restored by early this morning. The maximum impact due to the generation capacity deficit yesterday was 1863 MW at 6:20 p.m., exceeding the planned amount due to the shutdown of Unit 5 at the Nuevitas Power Plant and higher-than-forecast demand.
