Mexico, Apr 7 - The Mexico-Cuba Friendship Group of the Chamber of Deputies rejected the United States' blockade against Cuba and asked for moral support and international solidarity with its people, in a statement circulating today.
The Friendship Group is chaired by Congresswoman Laura Imelda Pérez, who condemned the blockade attitudes and actions by the United States government towards Cubans, in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic.
In addition, the legislator invited the people of Ame? Rich to show solidarity with the island and provide help and moral support.
In the text of the communiqué it is expressed: 'Let us embrace the Latin American fraternity before our sister nation in gratitude for the solidarity that continues to show us, even in these moments of health crisis throughout the world'.
The group of legislators stressed that the island is at the forefront in different fields, such as universal coverage in education, sports and health. (PL)
