Havana, Nov 15.- The top managers of the Cuban Sports Research Center (CIDC) and the Manuel Fajardo University of Physical Culture and Sports Sciences (UCCFD) signed a framework collaboration agreement.
The document is part of the field of research and exchange of information in the field of Physical Education, physical activity and sport.
What we signed will allow us to increase what we do at the University and this prestigious research center, said Dr. C. Silvano Merced Len, rector of the UCCFD.
A dream come true to continue working for our athletes and people in general, said Dr. Jorge Pavel Pino, director of the CIDC and host of the signing.
Via the Internet, Dr. Domingo Blázquez Sánchez, general secretary of the Global Network Association for Physical Education and Sports, highlighted from Spain the importance of the agreement due to the good harmony and coincidence of interests between the represented entities.
Both will collaborate in the development of the Cuban Observatory of Physical Education and Sports (OCEFD) and therefore in the International Observatory of Physical Education and School Sports, with the transfer of scientific knowledge to promote the progress of Physical Education and school sports at a national and global level.
Blázquez pointed out that the event held today made them a member of the Global Network of Physical Education and Sports, whose objective is focused on the internationalization of entities, systems and professionals from different cultures and nations, linked, above all, to higher education training in physical education and sports.
Its objective is to cooperate and join forces to improve the training, improvement and updating of Physical Education teachers and sports professionals; promote research and the functions of universities, and the higher education systems that comprise them.
The agreement will have a duration of two calendar years and its renewal will be automatic for periods of one year, unless one of the parties expresses to the other, with a minimum of two months' notice, its desire to terminate the agreement.
