Havana, Oct 31.- The Nauka 0+ Cuba-Russia 2024 International Science Festival, the largest Russian scientific dissemination project, will be held for the first time in this capital, from November 8 to 10, Citma reported.
Under the motto Science without borders, the event extends its celebration areas to the Caribbean island, a sign of the excellent relations of friendship and scientific collaboration between both nations.
Organized by the Cuban Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment (Citma), it has the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia, the Lomonosov Moscow State University and the Russian Academy of Sciences, which recently celebrated its tercentenary.
The Festival agenda includes conferences, scientific shows, interactive exhibitions and other activities.
According to the organizers, 15 scientists from different areas of knowledge, associated with Cuba's science, technology and innovation priorities, will arrive in Havana from Russia, who will share their experiences.
On the Cuban side, prominent personalities and institutions will attend and the young participants of the New Generation Program Cuba-Russia 2023 and 2024 will be specially invited.
These will represent Citma and the ministries of Higher Education and Public Health, the Azucarero Group and the Business Group of the Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Industries.
The activities of the scientific program will be based at the Great Metropolitan Park of Havana, University of Havana, Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, National Museum of Natural History, Hermanos Ameijeiras Clinical Surgical Hospital, Agency for Nuclear Energy and Advanced Technologies, and the National Aquarium of Cuba.
