Ramallah, Nov 30 - Palestine again accused the United States today of providing political, financial and military support to Israel to continue its war campaign against Gaza, where more than 44,000 deaths have been reported since October 2023.
"We hold the US administration fully responsible for the continuation of this bloody aggression," Palestinian presidential spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeina said in a statement.
The official criticized Washington's continued support for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's military strategy.
He also condemned both allies' challenges and violations of international laws and norms.
Rudeina denounced that Netanyahu and his partners in power seek to displace the Palestinian people in the coastal enclave, especially in the northern area, under an uninterrupted offensive for two months.
The world must take urgent measures to protect the population of Gaza and the West Bank, said the spokesman, who demanded compliance with UN Security Council resolutions on the issue.
Palestinian authorities have repeatedly questioned the White House's support for Israeli crimes in the occupied territories.
In May, the Israeli news portal Ynet, citing a Palestinian official, revealed that Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas refused to receive Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Ramallah, during the latter's tour of the region, because "he is very angry with him."
For its part, the Al-Quds newspaper explained that the ruler also refused to meet with Blinken on the sidelines of the meetings of the International Economic Forum, held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The refusal to allow Palestine to become a full member of the United Nations constitutes a flagrant aggression against the rights of our people, their history, their land and a challenge to the will of the world, Abbas said in April in an interview with the official news agency Wafa.
While the international community works to support our cause, the White House supports the Israeli occupation and refuses to force that country “to stop the war of genocide against Gaza and even supplies it with weapons and money,” he denounced then. (Text and photo: PL)
