Camagüey, Jun 1st.- Every June 1st the International Children's Day is commemorated, a date that invites us to reflect on the well-being, protection and integral development of children and adolescents in the nation. This day is an opportunity to recognize the joint effort of institutions, families and society at large to ensure a safe, educational and opportunity-filled environment for future generations.
Camagüey’s schools play a key role in the comprehensive training of children. From preschool to secondary education, schools not only transmit academic knowledge, but also promote values such as solidarity, respect and responsibility.
Education on the island is based on a humanist approach that seeks to develop in infants social, ethical and cultural skills, essential for their growth as citizens committed to their country.
For years, the movement of pioneering explorers in the thirteen agrarian municipalities has been a key platform for promoting values among infants. Through exploration activities, camps and community projects, the love of nature, cooperation and discipline is inculcated. These experiences enrich their formation and strengthen their sense of belonging and social commitment.
In addition, the creation of circles of interest in vocational training has enabled young people to discover their talents and guide their professional future from an early age. These spaces promote creativity and teamwork, preparing children for the challenges of tomorrow with a comprehensive vision.
In addition, maternal and child health care programmes ensure healthy development from the first months of life, with indicators reflecting low infant mortality rates and a care system that prioritizes prevention and early care.
On International Children's Day, Camagüey renews his firm commitment to build a bright future for the little ones, where every child can flourish, dream big and live in full. Because their well-being and happiness are the basis of a stronger and more hopeful society. (Maykel Torres La Rosa/Radio Cadena Agramonte) (Photo: Taken from the Internet)
